This is because grapefruits contain 92% of water making them one of the highest water contents of any fruits.   • Stroke: As per the American Heart Association, eating grapefruits may lower ischemic stroke risk in women.

They even showed improvements in total cholesterol and bad LDL cholesterol levels.
